Welcome to our world.
Electronic Beats is the undercurrent that is pulsating through the networks of our cities and nightclubs, it's the lifeblood of our social and working lives. It's what we love and what we're passionate about. Whatever you're into, from house to garage, from electro-clash to electro-pop, from break-beat to techno to chillout, we're here to tell you about the latest news and trends, the hottest parties, hotels, stores and tunes from all around the globe. This is the international community that Electronic Beats embodies.
Electronic Beats is a program that T-Mobile will be running in countries across Europe over the forthcoming years. It will support and sponsor all aspects of T-Mobile's music marketing activities. We are dedicated to electronic music and will be helping to develop emerging scenes and talent whilst continuing to promote and invest in the already established scenes.
Why electronic music? Because it's hard to imagine what we would do without it - it's become an indispensable part of international youth culture. It's both underground and mainstream; it's filtered through into pop and rock music. Social lives are timed to which DJ is playing where and which club is opening when. Relationships and friendships are forged on the dancefloor. We are travelling further than ever before because we want to hear our favourite dance acts play in new and exciting places.
Most importantly, over the years electronic music has become a bridge connecting people of all nationalities, races and creeds - people are coming together on the dancefloors of the world. Cities like Berlin that have had to emerge from old regimes have done so much faster because their electronic music scene opened the doors for people.
On this website you will find the tip of the iceberg that is Electronic Beats. There are interviews with some ofthe most cutting-edge DJs and producers working today - from the most in-demand acts to elusive members of the underground.
Besides interviews and features (written by some of the best music journalists working today), there are fashion and lifestyle stories as well as travel reports from the most exciting cities in the world - wherever there is an exciting and vibrant electronic music scene - we will go there and report back.
If you want to join the party, then read on.
