A German Startup Is About To Solve The Vinyl Production Crisis
German startup Neubilt has launched a new line of record-pressing machines that will soon enter circulation. The prototype features two presses, an extrusion device for melting down vinyl, a hydraulic power supply and a trimming machine for the low price of $161,250. The Vinyl Factory is reporting that for the first time in three decades, record pressing machines are experiencing a massive makeover. With ever-increasing demand, the time-consuming, energy-draining process of pressing records is shifting toward more contemporary, power-saving approaches.
Neubilt have not disclosed their future clients yet, but Jack White’s recently opened Detroit imprint, Third Man, has confirmed the purchase of eight Neubilt machines and announced that the pressing process will be accessible to the public through a viewing window. Read on here.
