Orchestra Performs New Order's "Blue Monday"

New Order‘s “Blue Monday” made waves across the pop-music stratosphere when it dropped back in 1983. Now, on the occasion of its 33rd anniversary, the BBC has reimagined what the record would’ve sounded like if it had been made 50 years earlier. This speculative rendition makes use of instruments available in the ’30s, from the theremin and musical saw to the harmonium and prepared piano.
