Is Apple Eliminating the Headphone Jack?
With phones getting thinner and thinner the only thing keeping them from evaporating into thin air are physical limitations like charger cables and headphone jacks. The 3.5 mm jack, commonly used in phones, laptops and pretty much everywhere else, is getting more and more outdated. Another “problem” is that the 3.5mm jack is an universal standard, whereas Apple’s patented lightning connector technology is proprietary. What’s next?
