Are you a music-loving alien lost in New York? Creative ‘non-agency’ Kingdom Collective has got you covered. They compiled an illustrated map featuring New York-based legends from now and then, squeezing a beautiful compilation of defining artists within the hand-drawn borders of the city. Hovering over it will take you through a flurry of the Big Apple’s hometown genres: “be-bop, doo-wop, hip hop, mambo, electro, disco, junk-funk, punk. Roam from Tin Pan Alley to Twilo, stop by CBGB head Roseland and don’t miss Danceteria.” There’s a Berlin equivalent to this out there involving clubs, but we already fantasize about an infographic on the city’s electronic music-makers.
