Browse Rare, Vintage Sleeves Of Made-For-TV Records
‘Library music’ doesn’t sound that compelling, but turns out the vast body of music created for TV, movies, radio and other media not only holds some serious gems music-wise—there has also been some pretty trippy album art.
From “Shimmering and awe-inspiring atmospheres” to “Cold & Sparse, Minimal Ambience,” the artwork adorning all these limited-availability records is documented in a new book, The Music Library: Revised and Expanded Edition. The hefty volume features 625 different album covers that date back to the 1950s and run all the way up to the early ’80s.
