North Carolina electronic duo Earthy teamed up with artist Eno Swinnen to release a new video for “Glaze”, the first single off their debut record Days, out now on Noumenal Loom.
Glaze is the “often shiny, wear-protective layer of oxide formed when two metals are slid against each other at high temperature in an oxygen-containing atmosphere”— as in compacted oxide layer glaze, which this video focuses on. Swinnen’s visuals intersect abstract axes of velocity and heat in vacuum space in a vectorial plunge that weaves together traditional and digital animation techniques to re-create the adrenaline rush of motoGP racing and Earthly’s sense of motion.
