David Eccles is the Director of String Music Education and Orchestral Activities at Chicago’s VanderCook College of Music. He’s also exploring music on more intimate levels—microscopic, in fact. He’s recently uploaded the above clip of DNA being sequenced:
“The first read to be downloaded to my computer during a demonstration of DNA sequencing at the TEDxWellington 2016 conference. This was converted to sound by loading the raw sequence data into Audacity, then using frequency modulation.”
