Given the recent VR craze, it was only a matter of time until someone came up with the idea to play some tunes inside a weird virtual reality world. Enter TheWave, the first virtual reality DJ device, which premiered at this year’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, reports DJ Techtools. The DJ “mixes” with virtual turntables controlled by TheWave equipment, and the audience enters the virtual club by donning headsets themselves. The visuals look exactly like we would have imagined: retro 3D aesthetics and jumpy camera.
