The Freiburg-based Galerie Spielmann opened this year a second exhibition room called ABSOLUTEKUNST for a younger art-interested crowed. While the existing part focuses on Classical Modernism with pieces by grandmasters like Picasso, Miró and Klee, the new room is a platform for contemporary urban artists.
Next to the pictures, which are presented on plain black and white walls, you can find a bar in the fresh exhibition room. The gallery’s aiming to arrange besides exhibitions also concerts and readings.
The current exhibition at ABSOLUTEKUNST hosts the likes of Balthasar Burkhard, Blek Le Rat, Martin Kasper, Stefan Strumbel or Ata „TOAST“ Bozaci. The range of styles is quite wide: You can find peaceful black-with photographs with motives from all over the world as well as banksy-like street art.
‚Why should these super cool pieces be reserved for Freibuger’s eyes only?’ the curators might have asked themselves. Hence, the hip gallery organised a travelling exhibition, the so-called Gastspiele:
