Videodrome #7 – This week’s best videos
Here’s the seventh edition of our weekly music video update called V I D E O D R O M E. Enjoy!
1. Rikslyd – All in Love? (dir.?)
Rikslyd is the Paris-via-Norway project of Diis Paradiis. She describes her music as "Champagne Electro" – which sounds pretty fitting.
2. Jealov – DCW (directed by Jealov)
Dreamy hip hop is the best described Jealov. At first listen the ambient ‘DCW’ suddenly becomes a true hip hop beat without much realization.
3. Death Grips – Culture Shock (directed by Jesse Hegney)
As we reported earlier our whole office is slobbering over the freshness of Death Grips. This video is more proof that we know what’s hot.
4. Dom – Living In America (dir.?)
Above is the latest video for DOM‘s single ‘Living in America’ off of last years Sun Bronzed Greek Gods EP.
5. Frank Ocean – Novacane (directed by Nabil Elderkin)
Frank Ocean drops his newest visual for his song ‘Novacane’, and the thick slowness of the title’s namesake fits the video perfectly.
6. IE – Dungeon of Drunk Girls (footage of So Cal Party Crews)
We stumbled over this amazing video while checking out the inspiring Gucci Goth Blog from our man Daniel Dodecahedron.
7. Jonti – Firework Spraying Moon (directed by Henry DeMaio)
This tune is from Jonti‘s upcoming debut album Twirligig which will be available from October 2011 via Stones Throw.
8. Diva – Glow Worm (directed by Lily X. Wahrman)
Digging the new Diva video. Her new album The Glitter End drops in August via Critical Heights.
9. Vybz Kartel – Go Go Wine (directed by Patrick Fraser)
‘Go Go Wine’ is the first official single off the highly-anticipated Vybz Kartel album Kingston Story. Video is based around a strippers as the song title suggests. Neat.
10. DAVIDA – My Rubber Room (directed by ?)
Part Time frontman Davida Loca just posted this video on his facebook, and it’s on heavy rotation here. Check it out!
