Ben UFO Explains Why B2B Sets Matter
“Playing this way forces you to step outside of your comfort zone.”
Apparently Ben UFO is getting some flack for his seemingly never ending stream of B2B sets. The sets—which are generally some of his most memorable—could also be viewed as a cynical gimmick to cram more talent onto a festival bill. In a Facebook post, he makes the very reasonable point that it’s something he’s done for a long time and benefitted from as a selector. “It’s amazing to see DJs who have slightly different takes on things working to create something that neither of them could on their own,” he said. Having heard him play here in Berlin with Call Super, we couldn’t agree more.
