Carl Craig’s Next Album Is All Orchestral Remixes
Will your favorite C2 classic be included?
If you’ve ever wanted a whole LP’s worth of orchestral versions of classic Carl Craig tracks, then 2017 is looking like it’ll be your favorite year in a long time. The Detroit don has just announced the release of Versus, a new LP that will feature eight works from his catalogue played by a symphony orchestra.
The project was originally premiered in 2008 in Paris with the Les Siècles orchestra conducted by François-Xavier Roth. No word yet on the full tracklist, but Craig has already revealed orchestral remixes of “Sandstorms” and “Desire” on Benji B’s BBC Radio 1 show, which you can listen to here.
In addition, Craig will also premier a live tour for the project called the “Versus Synthesizer Ensemble.” Tour dates are scheduled to be announced in January 2017.
