Last year was a good year for sleepy tunes. We had Jeff Bridges’ Sleeping Tapes, a heaping lot of ASMR and, for the classical modernists among us, Max Richter’s eight-hour composition, “Sleep.” From the start we’ve had to 2016, it feels like the world needs yet more quality rest—and the music to orchestrate it. To this end, Deutsche Grammophon is readying a “Sleep” remix EP featuring Clark, Mogwai and Panabrite (as Jürgen Müller). The five-track release is scheduled to land midway through February in digital form, with vinyl hitting stores in early March. Until then, you can stream Mogwai’s hypnotic take above and stream more previews here.
