Hamburg’s Legendary Golden Pudel Club Is Finally Reopening
The legendary Hamburg institution announces its new club program more than a year after a fire forced the space to close.
Welcome back old friend, you’ve been missed. Hamburg‘s Golden Pudel Club has officially reopened.
The club has quietly gone about opening its doors to the public following a torrid 2016 in which threats of foreclosure and a devastating fire both threatened to close the club down permanently.
With the help of an active crowdfunding campaign, Golden Pudel managed to secure its future in its original home. The hangout, known for its anarcho-tinged politics and ecclectic music policy that has nurtured the likes of Helena Hauff and Nina, announced via their Facebook group that they were starting a new program. The club will be opening from Thursday through to Sunday for the rest of August before opening from 8pm every day from September.
Friday August 18 sees Nina kick off the ceremonies joined by DJ Storm and Good News, while Smallville also return for a party in the early weeks of September. You can check out the whole program over on the Golden Pudel website. Watch Pudel regular Helena Hauff go flying with EB.TV in our feature below.
