Jack White's New Vinyl Plant Is Pressing Techno Records
The Third Man vinyl pressing plant is now open in Detroit.
After a brief gestation period, Jack White’s Third Man store and live venue now has its own in-house pressing plant. A sprawling 10,000 square foot operation, it lets customers buy records that have been pressed on the day they’ve been made. Of note to technophiles, some of the first records to come off the presses were seven-inch versions of Carl Craig and Derrick May classics.
