Kraftwerk Just Won Best Dance/Electronic Album At The Grammys
The Düsseldorf legends took home their third Grammy, and LCD Soundsystem’s Tonite won Best Dance Recording.
Last night Kraftwerk added another Grammy to the array of riches they’ve collected over their prolific musical career: the Best Dance/Electronic Album award for their effort 3-D The Catalogue. It’s the band’s third Grammy, as they received a Lifetime Achievement Award and were accepted into the Hall Of Fame in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
LCD Soundsystem—the New York-based band that owes much of their own sound to the pioneering work of Kraftwerk—fittingly also won Best Dance/Electronic Album. After receiving a string of nominations at previous Grammys, the group fronted by James Murphy beat Gorillaz, Bonobo and ODESZA with their 2017 album Tonite.
