Soothing electronics and lush piano make Finding Shore the perfect soundtrack to snow.
The snow is falling in Berlin, which means that it’s time for some deeply relaxing ambient music. Finding Shore is a new collaborative album that pairs Tom Rogerson (of math rock outfit Three Trapped Tigers) with ambient legend Brian Eno. If that seems like an odd pairing to you, then consider that the whole project came from a chance meeting outside the bathroom after a gig—which actually kind of sounds like one of Eno’s Oblique Strategies creative prompts.
No matter its genesis, though, the record is an absolutely gorgeous work that ought to remind even the most casual Brian Eno fan of some of the producer’s finest early-to-mid ’80s ambient releases. Give it a listen below.
