Listen To A Zelda OST Played On An Artillery Of Analog Synths
Switched On SNES is bringing Nintendo’s 16-bit masterpieces to life.
Want to revisit the wonder and frustration of playing The Legend Of Zelda set to the beautiful sounds of some of the world’s best analog synths? Then look no further than Switched On: A Link To The Past. In true Wendy Carlos style, Texas musician Will Patterson has taken the OST of the beloved game in the Legend Of Zelda series and reimagined its 16-bit sounds using an array of vintage synths.
We already knew that the soundtrack was complete genius, but hearing those dazzling melodies and chord progressions with the resonant tones of vintage gear only makes us appreciate the incredible work of composer Koji Kondo even more.
Royalties from Switched On: A Link To The Past sales will go directly to Kondo. You can listen to a preview below and buy the album here.
