Check Out Moog's Powerful New Analog Synthesizer
The Subsequent 37 builds upon the award-winning design of the ultra-powerful Tribute Edition.
Moog has announced a full production run for the follow-up to one of the company’s award-winning modern analog Phatty synthesizers. The Subsequent 37 expands upon the design and functionality of the Sub 37 CV synth which was released earlier this year in a small edition of 2000.
While sacrificing CV outputs of the older model, the Subsequent 37 has doubled the headroom of the tribute edition, allowing for new ranges of clean, precise tones in the synthesizer’s duo and mono modes. It also has reshaped the ladder filter of the original, boosting harmonic saturation and analog compression so you can achieve that rich low end for which Moog synth’s are renowned. Beyond that, the Subsequent boasts two busses for varied modulation and loopable envelopes. With a control panel of 40 knobs and 74 switches, there’ll be plenty of synth noodling to enjoy.
Accompanying the synthesizer is a free software editor that works as a DAW plugin or editor so you can fuse analog circuitry with digital layouts and functionality. And at $1499USD, the synth is retailing for $300 less than the tribute edition before it. Find out more about the synth at the Moog website here.
