The video comes in the wake of last week’s tragedy
MP Jo Cox’s murder last week sent shockwaves through the international community. Following on from the tributes that have been streaming in since the tragedy, Portishead have also shared a cover of the ABBA track ‘SOS’ as a further dedication to the amazing political figure.
Originally recorded for Ben Wheatley’s adaptation of J.G. Ballard novel, High Rise, it was previously not officially available outside of the film. The Bristol band shared their beautiful, solemn and refrained version with a quote from Cox: “We have far more in common than that which divides us.”
