Read Björk’s Answers To Questions From 8 Pop Culture Luminaries

The pop singer has been quizzed by artists and longtime collaborators like Arca, Hans-Ulrich Obrist and The Haxan Cloak.

In recent years, Björk has issued sprawling multimedia projects that unite the spheres of art, technology and nature. A lot of these works are known for their dense tangle of metaphors and philosophical ruminations, one of which, a prolonged email exchange with the philosopher Timothy Morton, was published in 2015 alongside her exhibition at New York’s MoMA gallery.

Now, other pop culture notables have embraced the opportunity to pose questions to the musician and thinker, asking her, “What’s the connection between music and magic?”, “What is your unrealized project?” and “Do you have any vision of yourself as a really old artist? What will you be doing?” among others. Many of the interviewers have had longtime creative relationships with the pop singer, such as Arca and The Haxan Cloak, who were the chief collaborators on her 2015 album Vulnicura.
