Stunning Photographs of Obsessive Vinyl Collectors
Elion Paz is an Israeli photographer based in New York, the city where he started to shoot obsessive vinyl collectors around 2008. As a collector himself, he perfectly captures the essence of fellow record maniacs’ meticulously organized archives. He’s toured with his portraits around the world, from Europe to Japan and back, stopping to visit stashes of limited-edition, white-label dubplates along the way. His book of photographs, Dust & Grooves: Adventures in Record Collecting, was originally self-released, but was recently picked up by a larger publisher and made available to the masses. It assembles more than 130 images and stories. Find further details here, and check out how Floating Points became an expert record collector in our interview here.
