Vinyl Sales Have Surpassed Digital Downloads
Music fans are finally returning to their roots.
According to Vinyl Factory, “Vinyl album sales outstripped digital downloads for the first time last week.” Data from the Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA) proves that more money was spent on physical albums in week 48 of 2016 than on downloads. Music buyers spent £2.4 million on records versus £2.1 million on digital formats. With Christmas coming up we believe this number will rise even further.
