Classic footage from the Jungle don and Metalheadz co-founder
Prior to stamping his name all across the history of UK rave, jungle and drum and bass culture, Goldie was a well-known figure in the graffiti and street art scenes—a reputation that took him across the Atlantic to New York and Miami. This 1988 interview captures Goldie upon his return from the States, discussing his experience of painting trains, turf warfare in tunnels and meeting some street art inspirations. The fact that the audio is not synced at all to the video footage of Goldie sitting in a chair sipping from a whiskey glass only adds to the charisma of this very charismatic guy.
