Anti-Pop Consortium, Yacht and R. Stevie Moore head to the Creepy Teepee festival
The third year of the annual Creepy Teepee festival is set to start this Thursday 28 July in the picturesque city Kutná Hora near Prague. The Gothic environs of the historic town prove to be the perfect backdrop to CT’s uncompromising programming which favors the more out-there limits of the sonic spectrum. Witch house, analogue synth, experimental pop, or just plain weird stuff – you’re bound to come across any of it during the four-day event at the venue, a former brewery, following a move in the wake of a minor scandal surrounding the previous venue the GASK gallery.
Avant hip hoppers Anti-Pop Consortium, the lo-fi weird pop legend R. Stevie Moore, experimental indie rockers Xiu Xiu and electro pop stalwarts Yacht are set to appear at the visonary event alongside newcomers such as Not Not Fun’s Cruise Family, Jef Barbara, Teams and Dirty Beaches, as well as local talent including witch house upstarts Tempelhof and hauntologists Birds Build Nests Underground.
