So I’m going to give you guys a little guide on how to party during Barcelona’s Sónar Off-Week!

There’s tons of parties all across the city, but my pals and I will be raving at the ones below. You might even see me DJing and/or dancing at some ? Dan x

WEDNESDAY

Day: tINI & the gang @ Loud-Contact Area
Night: Knee Deep In Barcelona @ Pacha Barcelona
Once you land, drop your bags off and head to tINI & the gang during the day—you’ve gotta make the most of the weather! Her Ibiza parties are always wicked and attract a great crowd, so this is the perfect place to start. Rossko of FUSE notoriety is playing, and French maestros Shonky and Dyed Soundorom (of Apollonia) will go back-to-back.

For the night session, I would go to Knee Deep In Barcelona to support my good friend Hot Since 82. I recently played at his Labyrinth event at Pacha in Ibiza, and he really knows how to put on a party. You can check out Detroit’s Stacey Pullen as well as Phil Weeks and Honey Dijon.

THURSDAY

Edible Music Showcase @ Catwalk
Of course, Thursday is dedicated to my Edible showcase, so your entire day will be spent prepping for that! You can recover from the night before down at the beach, get some tapas, pre-drink and then come rave with me. ? It’s my first time hosting an Edible party in Barcelona, and I’m going to back-to-back with Richy Ahmed and Patrick Topping. I’m expecting it to be an eventful night. Richy is going to play with a broken leg! We’ve also got a great “Edible all-stars” lineup of DJs who have released on the label, including Paul Woolford, Elliot Adamson, Lord Leopard and Andres Campo.

FRIDAY

Day: Circoloco @ Plaza Mayor de El Poble Espanyol
Night: JUST THIS @ Almogavers 86
Circoloco is a must for Friday. The line-up is huge: Jackmaster, The Martinez Brothers and Apollonia, Gerd Janson…the list just goes on. And it’s a great venue when the sun’s out. To follow the high energy of Circoloco, make your way to JUST THIS to catch KiNK live—by far the best live performer I’ve ever seen. Gerd is also playing at both parties, so maybe you can make friends and roll with him? He’s a nice guy, so you never know!

SATURDAY

Joseph Capriati Invites @ Loud-Contact Area & INPUT
Saturday has to be Joseph Capriati Invites all day and night, and not just because I’m playing (although that is a great reason). I’m so grateful to be invited to play the day party with him. It’s incredible to watch him; he always plays these ridiculously long sets. It must be an Italian thing! I’ll be bringing my “A” Game for sure. For the night party, my good mates Jasper James and Patrick Topping are playing, so it’s sure to go off! You’ll get differing but wicked styles from both, and Capriati will play a monster set again I’m sure.

SUNDAY

Day: Elrow @ Row 14
Night: Cocoon @ Pacha Barcelona
Two huge brands for the final day. They’re very different, but amazing at the same time.

Barcelona is the home of Elrow, and it’s the longest-running dance music party there, so you’ve gotta check it out. I love what Elrow is about, and I’m so happy they’ve allowed me to become part of the family. Whenever you go to their parties, you know you’re going to have fun and leave with a smile on your face.

And then for your final session before that sketchy flight home, there’s Cocoon for a techno masterclass from Sven Väth. He constantly surprises me with how he can party like he’s still 21—the man is truly a don. Pacha Barcelona is a great venue, and alongside Papa Sven you can also check out Tim Green playing live.
