EB Premiere: Manse – “Slacker” and RSN002 video previews
Remember last February when we were the first to get all hot under the collar about Fifth Wall? When it comes to exciting labels producing uncompromising techno, we’re the first there. Next month, young London label Resin will release RSN002, a 12-inch that will firmly set out their stall as purveyors of all that’s tough and noisy by techno’s newest wave. It may only be the label’s second release after the inaugural outing by label head Pris last December, but it packs industrial-strength wallop by Bleaching Agent, Pris, Manse and Divided. Both Bleaching Agent and Manse may be on EB readers’ radar, having chalked up releases on one of our favorite tape labels Opal Tapes and it’s the latter’s contribution that we’re previewing in its entirety above—an EB exclusive. Proceed with caution: the Brit pursues a very dark muse indeed. “Slacker” is the sound of a rave in a condemned warehouse, rusty, corroded and a bit sharp around the edges. Like it hard? Peep the premiere of two other videos from the release below (Bleaching Agent is here).
Pris – “Pencil Pusher”
Divided – “Losses”
RSN002 is out March 10th on Resin.
