Editor’s Choice 13
What’s that? You want to know what’s been going in our ears this week, reverberating our cochleas and sending broader vibrations throughout our bodies and by extension our audio-addled souls? That’s a coincidence: here’s this week’s Editor’s Choice.~ Photo: Louise Brailey

Herbert – You Saw It All (DJ Koze Remix)
Don’t like DJ Koze? Get the eff outta here! Here’s a radio rip of Stefan Kozalla‘s new remix of Herbert‘s ‘You Saw It All’. Brilliant! And then there’s an interview snippet of Koze on remixing on top of that. Pure gold!
Goner – Untitled (Move D Remix)
I can’t really tell who received a remix treatment by David Moufang aka Move D here, but Goner Music posted this on SoundCloud today, noting it was an “old rmx that never saw the light of day”. What a shame. Beautiful fall melancholy written all over the place.

Blawan – Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage
When this was first played on Blawan‘s Boiler Room set it was clear this was going to be an event tune, a ‘Sicko Cell’ for 2012. This week sees its full release as part of the His He She and Him EP on Joy Orbison‘s and Will Bankhead‘s Hinge Finger label. And what better excuse to go another round against its scabrous industrial shred? Oof.
Cold Cave – A Little Death to Laugh
Look around you: the trees are naked, people are wearing snoods indoors, layering is a thing. Wesley Eisold preps us for the season of exquisite gloom with a this terse ode to minor french Symbolist Tristan Corbière, from Cold Cave’s forthcoming 7″ on Heartworm.

Mark Fell – Sentielle Objectif Actualité
Since I experienced a Mark Fell Set at Berghain as part of CTM Festival I always get drawn back to his dry and fractal house drafts. Cold, mechanic and confusing – that’s how music should be. Catch Mark Fell this weekend in Berlin.
Jason Lescalleet – The Power Of Pussy
I just rediscovered Jason Lescalleet‘s album Songs About Nothing last night on facebook. That title is obviously a reference to Big Black‘s Masterpiece Songs About Fucking. There is a tradition of nothingness in western culture, think about Flaubert’s vision of a book about nothing. A book that is just plain style.
