Industrial Records reborn
Thee singular noise/magick collective known as Throbbing Gristle have re-activated their iconic label Industrial Records. Founded in 1977 as a home for experimentalists and mutants like Monte Cazazza and author William Burroughs, as well as TG themselves, the label is being kicked back to life in order re-release classic archived material, as well as the final TG album Desertshore, a re-interpretation of Nico‘s 1970 album. Starting September 26th, you’ll be able to purchase limited-edition, deluxe vinyl copies of the classics The Second Annual Report, D.O.A. The Third & Final Report, Heathen Earth, 20 Jazz Funk Greats and Throbbing Gristle’s Greatest Hits, each remastered by TG founding member Chris Carter and featuring color booklets, rare and unpublished photos, and more treats. You can get these in digital format as well, but where’s the fun in that?
