Pollyester to draw on their Earthly Powers
A duo based out South Germany, Kraut-disco inspired Pollyester will be putting out their debut LP this May entitled Earthly Powers on the much loved label Munich imprint Permanent Vacation.
They have already released two widely acclaimed EPs, on their own own label Imprint Love in C Minor and Permanent Vacation. But there’s a whole lot of history in-between here, Polly aka Polina Lapkovskaya played bass in Gomma’s band Munk, as well as contributing vocals to three tracks of the debut album "Tuning Echoes" by London producers Mock & Toof.
Pollyester’s pop sensibility is widely apparent on their debut, infectious grooves abound, but they have also wedged themselves between, "Tribal rhythms, energetic krautrock, disco strings and Witch-House-moments"
There’s also a 12" that was just released with Pollyester & Munk together.
