Run Vie puts the fun in Vienna
The RUN VIE Festival in Vienna is all about the music we love and features artists like the Vienna based Affine Records superstar Dorian Concept and label colleagues Ogris Debris and Cid Rim as well as international acts like Darkstar (WARP) and Girl Unit (Night Slugs). This is of course only a small selection from the seven-day lineup, which reads like the wet dream of a modern-day music lover.
But there is more to the festival than just great music; it’s about urban art too. Even though nowadays everybody claims to be artsy, RUN VIE actually is and also manages to stay real. There is a collab with the Sneakerness Convention, an exhibition of SNNC (a collective formed by streetart collective Bark In The Yard and others) and a screening of the fabulous music documentary Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest at Filmcasino. This is probably the only chance ever to see the masterpiece on a big screen in Austria – so be there and don’t miss out.
