Celebrate the 26th anniversary of one of the defining records of the early UK rave scene.
“L—F—O”! was the rallying cry of a nascent UK rave scene responding to the mysterious promise of American acid house. Coming out of Sheffield, LFO’s “LFO” was one of the first bleep techno songs, and it remains a real classic. We still get goose bumps listening to it.
Gez Varley, one of the founding members of the group, just posted to his Facebook page that today is the 26th anniversary of the track’s release. So what about you? Do you remember the first time you heard “LFO”?
