It's Happened: Robots Now Make Better Beats Than Humans

In the future, all new genres will be made by machines.

Recent advances in machine learning could have broad reaching impact for the future of music. Case in point is the Infinite Drum Machine. It’s a fun, interactive four-track drum machine that uses artificial intelligence to sift through thousands of different samples, which the computer then arranges into sound based on similarities in wave shape and timbre. Just by jumping through the samples you can make a lot of bizarre connections between seemingly unrelated items. Check out how it works below, and then get jamming asap.
