This Absurdly Cheap 8-Bit Modular Synth Is Perfect For Beginners

Modular synthesis doesn’t get more affordable than this.

MiniMo is a brand new modular synth based around an 8-bit ATtiny85 processor. The modules are all identical but each unit can be programmed differently to create oscillators, filters or sequencers and these units can then be linked to create your own miniature modular rig.

The best part? They’re available for just under €25 (if you are handy with a soldering iron you can even buy a kit version for €15).
