This Audio Map Explores The Sounds Of The World
We last caught up with the Cities & Memory project with their “The Next Station” project, which gave us these striking soundscapes of the London Tube.
Cities & Memory is a global sound art initiative that aims to present “both the present reality of a place, but also its imagined, alternative counterpart—remixing the world, one sound at at time.”
London is of course only one part of a much larger, collaborative sound map being developed which to date features over 1,300 sounds from more than 55 countries. Start exploring the brilliant, strange and beautiful sounds of the globe here.
