Björk Will Open Sónar Festival With A Special Four-Hour DJ Set
The Icelandic megastar’s new DJ career is picking up pace.
Björk has been announced as the opening artist for this year’s Sónar Festival, where she’ll be kicking off the legendary Barcelona event with a special four-hour DJ set. There’s no word yet on what kind of music she’ll play, but judging from her recent surprise set at London’s Corsica studios, we guess it’s going to be a mix of bass-heavy pop and experimental sounds. Sónar will also play host to Bjork Digital, a virtual reality exhibition of “performance, cinema, installation, video and interaction.” You can check her performance out for yourself on June 14 at Fira Montjuïc’s SonarHall stage. Tickets for the festival are available here.
