This is the most ’80s thing ever.

We just discovered a Tumblr that ought to make any hi-fi nerd drool with envy. Public Collectors collects vintage images taken from The Hifi Book, a catalog for a stereo component chain store.

Each picture shows a surreal scenery featuring stereo systems that we really wish were ours. The blog also lists each stereo’s incredibly steep original price, which could explain why there was so much effort put into staging them in such elaborate settings.
