The Console Used For ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ Is For Sale

The legendary psychedelic band Pink Floyd finished its seminal album Dark Side Of The Moon in 1973; it topped Billboard’s chart’s for 741 consecutive weeks, and was recently voted the Number One Rock Album of All Time by Rolling Stone. The entirety of the album’s material was recorded at London’s Abbey Road Studios on the EMI MK IV, a three-panel desk mixer described as “the greatest console ever constructed.” You can claim the EMI MK IV as your own on March 19 when it’s auctioned off in London. The only thing is that it’ll only cost you a few hundred thousand pounds.
