Ed Sheeran And Pink Floyd Are Among 2017’s Best-Selling Records

It’s no secret that the public’s appetite for vinyl has been growing rapidly in the last two years, but we’re surprised by the uh…choices that most consumers have been making. NME released a list of the records that have been selling the most copies since January, which includes—surprise—Ed Sheeran’s – ÷ at number one and Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black at number two. The classic albums Abbey Road and Rumours by The Beatles and Fleetwood Mac, respectively, also make appearances on the list. We’re not quite sure what this investigation tells us about the average vinyl buyer, but it certainly confirms our suspicion that those of us interested in buying electronic music on wax are still only at the margins of the greater vinyl revolution.
