The Los Angeles electro pioneer reveals a few of the cuts from his collection.

Few artists have had such an impact on the development of American electro music as Egyptian Lover. The Los Angeles-based DJ and producer made history with party-rocking ’80s dance classics, like “Egypt Egypt” and “Freak-A-Holic”.

Since the beginning, his sound has been tied to the Roland TR-808 drum machine, which he still uses in his incendiary live DJ performances. For the latest edition of Telekom Electronic Beats’ B-Sides series, we met him at his studio in Los Angeles to discover a few of the records hiding in his record bag.
