Fiorucci's Crazy '80s Fanzine Was The Italo Disco Of Magazines

These photos reveal how Fiorucci distilled the bright neon shades of Italo club culture into fashion.

You’ve heard of Italo disco and you’ve heard of Italian fashion, but have you heard of Fiorucci? It was an iconic Milanese label that distilled pop art style into avant-garde clothing. For much of the ’70s and ’80s, its clothes formed a major part of the club kid uniform both in Italy at discos like Cosmic—where Daniele Baldelli invented cosmic disco—and also in New York at underground venues like the Paradise Garage and Danceteria. Its wild style is best introduced via the fanzine that it published with the help of i-D. Check out some scans of it below. For more information, head over here.
