Goldie Just Released An “Uncensored, Hard-Hitting” Gonzo Memoir

“Rolling with the graffiti kings of New York to writing with David Bowie to reinventing myself as the Dorian Gray of breakbeat.”

Goldie’s reputation as one of the most charismatic producers in the game is about to reach a whole new level of notoriety. The jungle and hardcore pioneer and Metalheadz co-founder has just released  an uncensored—and hugely addictive—memoir, All Things Remembered, that traces the iconic musical personality “from the darkest depths of the West Midlands care-home system to the snowiest uplands of coke-crazed international celebrity.” It also traces Goldie’s beginnings in rave and hardcore in the late ’80s and early ’90s which he described to Electronic Beats in our “Mentors” column as a period when the legendary 4Hero helped him start programming his software.

All Things Remembered was released on November 2 through Faber, and the publishers promise “an explosive story of abuse, revenge, graffiti, gold teeth, sawn-off shotguns, car crashes, hot yoga, absent fatherhood, and redemption through reality TV.” That is to say: the insanity and genius of Goldie’s life, condensed into book form. You can grab your own copy of the book on the Metalheadz website here.
