Audiences Participate In This Audio-Visual Performance Project
In a new project, a group of artists led by Stefan Goldman and Samir Odeh-Tamimi transform fine art exhibitions into concerts. In alif::split in the wall, the audience is invited to explore a gradually unfolding performance space, which has to be experienced in multiple dimensions. The installation was developed by Chiharu Shiota, “a Japanese performance and installation artist best known for creating room-filling, monumental yet delicate, poetic environments.” Check out more details here, or revisit a gravity-defying work by dance and A/V collective La mouvement de l’air here. EB.TV had a talk with Stefan Goldmann a while ago, which you can rewatch out here.
