If you know house music, you know Kerri Chandler. The New Jersey DJ and producer has been a key figure in the scene for decades, turning his various influences from Jersey and New York into what would become some of the first proper deep house records. He’s kept busy throughout his career, releasing 12-inch after 12-inch of some of the most important records to the history of house music. But to get your hands on most of his music, you’ve had to scour record stores and Discogs for his mostly vinyl-only releases. That is, until now.
In a surprise gift to his fans, Chandler has just released a free, high-quality download of 43 tracks that have previously only been available in physical formats. Including tracks like “Get It Off” and “Mommy What’s A Record”, the pack is an essential download for anyone into the pivotal sound of New York and New Jersey deep house.
