This Instrument Lets You Make Video Game Soundtracks On The Fly
Native Instruments’ new software lets you improvise soundtracks and movie scores.
Have you ever wished you could improvise your own cinematic soundtracks or video game scores? This new software from Native Instruments called Thrill lets you do exactly that by combining a sound interface with a huge library of orchestral samples. Thrill features a massive 30GB sound bank that is controlled with an XY interface that allows bending, modulating and layering of sounds and effects. It’s also controllable via a smartphone, tablet or your laptop’s trackpad.
Thrill makes use of tone clusters, a type of chord used for generating tension and this feature makes it perfect for horror films, video games and even sound installations. Take a look at it in action below. For more information, click here.
