Jack White Fans Confused by Wolf Eyes Instagram Takeover
Wolf Eyes are routinely touted as the Greatest American Noise Band Ever but their powers are far more diverse and nuanced than such a moniker may have you think. They also excel at confusing and freaking out fans of mainstream rock, in this case, followers of Jack White’s Third Man Instagram account.
In anticipation of Wolf Eyes’ upcoming LP on Third Man, Mr White gave them the honor of curating the labels’ social media page, to disastrous and hilarious effect. Across the weekend the account reportedly lost thousands of followers and garnered such messages of approval as: “Guess I’ll refollow you guys in 24 hours then,” “Note to self – want to lose followers? Have Wolf Eyes take over your IG,” and “This was a nightmare. I’ll follow back on Monday.”
