Four Tet is no stranger to remixing The XX. He’s previously reworked “VCR” and “Angels”, and it’s no surprise that he’s now remixed yet another track, “A Violent Noise”, from their newest album I See You. Four Tet’s remix sounds like a classic Ellen Allien electro cut fed through layers of filters and dreamy effects. The remix, which strips away most of the original song’s vocals, is a more melancholic and reverb-drenched interpretation of a traditional dance track. Take a listen below.
