After years of peddling high quality techno via labels like Blueprint and Macro, Oliver Ho reemerged with the Broken English Club alias, an amalgam of seedy, disaffected electronics. After debuting the moniker on Jealous God last year, Ho is back with a new slab of material titled Suburban Hunting for Veronica Vasicka’s Cititrax imprint.
Drawing from the wasted crucibles of noise, grindcore, techno and post punk, Ho seems to have hit the ball out of the park with this one, traversing a range of tempos and moods with never less than riveting aplomb. It’ll be out in November, but in the meantime you can put this clip of excerpts on repeat.
