Ninja Tune stalwart DJ Food has compiled a survey of party invitations and rave advertisements distributed via flexidiscs in the ’80s and early ’90s. The record labels are stamped with party dates and instructions to “play for more information.” In the example included here, rapper E-Mix details a jam on Saturday, September 12th, 1987 over Public Enemy‘s “Timebomb” instrumental.
